An experiential exhibition bringing together picture book authors from Japan and abroad.
A special exhibition, "Let's Play with Picture Books: Your First Questions" will be held in Hakata, Fukuoka.

Chiki Kikuchi is one of the picture book authors whose works will be featured in the exhibition.
This time, the washi paper that we handle was used in the spatial design of the exhibition.
I first worked with Kikuchi at an exhibition held in Fukuoka in 2019.
On that occasion, various types of washi paper were used in the exhibits.
The other day, I went to Hakata and saw the actual venue.
The exhibition venue is large, displaying works by five picture book authors, including Kikuchi.
The ceilings were high and a distinctive feature was the extensive use of paper materials, including washi paper and cardboard.
Kikuchi's exhibit was made up of cardboard boxes arranged in a cylindrical shape in the center.
A total of about 800 illustrated books will be on display, and the scale and number of them will be overwhelming.
The event will run until May 6th during Golden Week.
If you live in the Fukuoka area and love picture books, please come and visit us.
I think it's a wonderful exhibition that the whole family can enjoy.
We look forward to seeing you there.
